School Educational Aims

Our aim is that children benefit through learning and recognise its value.  We would like the children to be confident enough to become increasingly independent learners.

Our concerns are for the all-round development of each child: moral, spiritual, cultural, physical and mental.  We seek to do this by: 

1. encouraging the children to become independent while recognising valid authority and appreciating the value of co-operation

2. helping children to recognise their own feelings, to gain command of those feelings and to express them constructively

3. encouraging the children to develop their skills and thereby attain their full potential

4. teaching children to persevere and show pride in their work

5. teaching the children to be adaptable

We aim to create and sustain a happy, caring and stimulating environment in which each child grows in knowledge, understanding, tolerance, respect for others and self esteem; and is aware of his or her individual value within the school community.
